Low-warp tapestry

Creation of models. Production on a low-warp loom.
Use of materials, warp and weft, treated and manufactured for traditional tapestry pure new wool, definitive mothproof, colors unalterable in the sun and moon.

The nomenclature allows for a limited number of seven tapestries to be made from a single cartoon.
Each of these tapestries is an original work since it is executed by hand using traditional low-warp techniques.

Diffraction
Le Ronceray

This tapestry was conceived during a prolonged stay under the Romanesque vaults of Le Ronceray Abbey church in Angers.

Diffraction  is a declaration of the artist’s search for divine presence, revealed through forms, light, and color.

Liberty

This tapestry describes a cave in which we find ourselves, with the possibility to escape therefrom.
We can either safely remain in the comfortable semi-darkness of the cave or we can come out into the light, towards the Infinite and the Divine.

Liberty  introduces the possibility of choice, a breakthrough moment akin to Plato's allegory of the cave, where one can choose to remain in the comfort of ignorance or step into the light of understanding.

Daily

This tapestry evokes our lifelong yearning for Light and Knowledge. The blue background stands for timelessness.
The lines represent the pathways of daily life from its beginning (dark part of the tapestry) to its end (light part).
